Innovative Practices of Inclusive Urban Development: Winnipeg and the World


Selkirk Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada) is becoming an intergenerational education hub in one of the poorest communities in Canada - a "North End Campus" - that provides opportunities for individuals who might otherwise not be able to pursue pos secondary education. In recent years the Merchants Hotel, once a vibrant destination, became a dark presence on Selkirk Ave. The "Merch" is now owned by the community, which aims to raise funds to transform it into a place of learning.

This video describes the intergenerational learning hub in Winnipeg that is fast becoming known as the "Noth End Campus".
